Choosing a dance studio is about more than finding the closest class or picking a time that fits your family’s schedule. You’re choosing an environment where your child may spend hours learning, growing, making friends, building confidence, and discovering what they’re capable of.

Whether your child dreams of performing on stage or simply wants to try something new, here are some important things to consider when choosing a dance studio.

## 1. Look for a Place Where Your Child Can Grow

A good dance program teaches technique. A great dance program develops the whole student.

Dance can teach discipline, teamwork, creativity, confidence, perseverance, and responsibility. Look for a studio where instructors care about the person your child is becoming as much as the dancer they’re developing into.
